That problem usually goes the other way for me... ie removing pegs to make way for other stuff and because the bike is registered for two falling short on compliance even though it never carries a pillion.
DRDeano, Regency is not normally too bad for configuration changes. Give them a call to find out what they're going to demand from you... speak to an actual inspector if you can. If you're using entirely OEM parts and it is done properly they may not even demand the engineering certificate and just wave you through as a formality.
