Just something to be aware of. It can also be argued that a big cake of mud splattered on the engine doesn't do any favors for engine cooling either.
I wouldnt worry too much about mud getting on the engine. Now if it gets up into the radiator ......
I also like Sanford and Son but, since I am not a junk dealer in 1970's Watts, I find it hard to criticize his methods.
