Stop turning the bolt when the washer is at the surface of the plastic.





The friction on the threads holds the washer to the bolt. The washer stays with the bolt and spins as the bolt is removed. I haven't had to chase a bolt since I put the washers on.
No spacing issues with that? What kind of bike?
