The Montana's bigger screen, Landscape/Portrait modes and better power options makes it a clear winner though the Oregon has a beautiful and sharp display. But it's so small that IMHO it's better as a handheld unit.

My wife has one of each, the Montana 650 and Oregon 550, and likes each one as much as the other, but for different reasons. I have the 62S and the Montana 650, but I'd trade the 62 for an Oregon any day.
