Hey klx, I did check out ridetherock - another good forum. Some folks down south can't imagine bike ownership in the northern climes, but I recently heard that the 3 biggest scooter markets are in the snow-belt: Denver/Boulder, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Chicago. We spent 3 decades in the Black Hills (western South Dakota), and frequently heard that the Black Hills area had the highest H-D ownership per capita... of course, that may have something to do with the influence of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

It won't happen this summer, but I'm looking forward to riding the scoots in the Black Hills - some of the best motorcycle roads we've ridden. South Texas (where we are currently) has plenty of warm weather, but great motorycle/scooter roads are lacking... no hills, not that many curvy roads. Until getting these scooters, I never considered just bopping around town to be particularly enjoyable. Looks like you have the roads... as long as Mother Nature does her part.

Best wishes,
Jim
