Two BMW final drives failed in the Iron Butt Rally last week; one rider was near a dealership and they got him back on the road in two hours. The other changed bikes but ended up not completing the rally for other reasons.
I rode my Super Tenere to our North American gathering in Ouray CO last month, and rode 525 and 625 miles headed there, and 525 and 450 on the first two days headed home (stopped to visit my sis the second night).
I have +1, stock, and -1 cs sprockets for my KLR 688 and use them as needed.
