What is everyone's Thoughts about running a 8" light on the street. I ride to work in the early morning and i would love to have lots of light, just don't want to blind everyone else!

I run the Trailtech on the road without issues. In Mexico and Guat they hated it, but I think that's because it's brighter than 99% of the lights on the road. In the US and Canada I don't think I've been flashed yet.

You can adjust how far it points down. The biggest issue is it's not easy to go from pointing down to up. With that being said a "pointed down" that's not glaring too much is pretty good for normal road riding. Then I flip it up on the highway or offroad and it's awesome.

My friends have the Squadron LED light. Mine puts theirs to shame not only in distances, but beam pattern. I'm running the halogen model with a 35W HID bulb. Surprisingly good optics and beam pattern for the switched light.

I have no doubt there is some glare, but IMO, it helps with the "I didn't see you".

I'm also in favour of loud pipe saves lives. That's an argument for another time =)
