Mav, look at the complete part number, not just the reference number on the schematic -- should be something like 39061a-XXXX. You may find that the reference number is the same for several bikes, but the complete part number is different. I ran into this several times while researching parts compatibility for my KLR250 -- initial joy, tempered by the ultimate realization that the parts were actually different.
Hope I'm wrong, though...
