There's no need for a cush drive, almost all of the riding is off road. Of course, if you already have one, you could use it, but no need to get one specially for this event
I did this year's Hellas on enduro tyres - Michelin rather than Metzler - and they wore out very quickly (3 tyres in 4.5 days) I changed to Maxxis IT's for the Serres and they were perfect. Desert's will be too hard wearing and lethal if we have rain or snow

I thought that the Deserts were not the best choice. And I do have a spare wheelset with cush drive of my 660Rally but probably won't bother with it.
One more question in regards to the Maxxis: Desert IT, MX IT or 6001 IT ?
I assume it is the Desert IT you speak of?
And as usual the Swiss Importer has no such tires in his portfolio... just checked
Offroad riding is prohibited in Switzerland and will be punished by death.
