Slowly accumulating gear, wondering if the some seasoned riders have any tips? KLR specific, tools/ gear/ ect? Spring semester starts today but still seem more interested in moto touring planning....
One thing you don't want to forget on a KLR is a milk crate bungied to the back.

Most work on the bike is before you start. All you need to carry is flat repair and basic tools to fix anything that comes loose. A few extra bolts and screws are good to have. A master link is handy if you break a chain.

Go as light as possible with your peersonal and camp gear.
