This thread is for checking in and all relative bs'n about the 610. Most of us are going to tell you straight on the pro's and con's of the 610 but we shouldn't Hijack the thread to a Comparison of two outstanding bikes that really are not similar enough imho for apples to apples...

Can be had for 7200.00 OTD ( I paid more

Smooth running, lower vibes
good suspension
Completed 3500 mile ride of TAT with only the battery failing
It's not mainstream
610 cons
small fuel tank
low air intake
offroad seat
weak headlight
It's not mainstream
luggage limitations
aftermarket >
this is being addressed by enough companies we have most of what is necessary for Adv touring
640 Adv
Pros
A work of art imho
good fairing and instrument space
higher fuel capacity

5 speed > not a deal killer for most but on wish list I am sure

I really wanted a 640 and may upgrade to the 690 when it lands...
