I had Pirelli Scorpion A/T's(come stock on the KTM 640 ADV) on for this trip, since I would ride plenty of blacktop, but a set of Continental TKC 80's, I ordered before the trip, awaits me at my local Husky dealer, Austin Sports Cycles.
Here is a picture where you can better see the tires. I found a salamander about 6 feet behind where I am standing in the picture, it was really cool looking, but I wasn't able to catch it for a photo.
