Nothing wrong with that. Like the seller says, it does make the bike a bit more streetable. You can take a stock frame, smooth down the welds some (go easy!), then remove some brackets and such, add the "beauty plate" (I call it a frame stiffener)..and Bob's yer uncle.
He sure is getting a high price for it.. Mine isn't near that "clean", but I gave 1500. for it, too. Does having it in Cycle World mean that much?
Thats just me, for that kind of money I think it should have a real racing frame. I know it might cost even more with one, but I think it makes it more period correct. But again thats just the way I think about it. It doesn't mean that much having it in Cycle World unless you were to get King Kenny to sit on it
