OK, my '91 Dominator passed inspection today, so I might finally be able to ride her soon.
That's how I bought her:
She was out in the cold for more than a year, repeatedly knocked over by parking cars. And that's what she looks like now:
My, erm, Honda NXL650R (or something like that): Front fender, light, mask, speedo and brake line from my old XL600R. Tank is a 25 liter Acerbis from the XL. High and wide bars with Acerbis handguards, GPS mount where the XL tach once was. Bag mounts for Givi hard bags. GPR 2-1 exhaust, K&N filter, modded airbox and Dyno jet-kit makes her lift the wheel in 3rd without clutch.
She sure ain't no beauty, but she's here to take the place of my old XL with some highway capability.
And she's far from complete. Thing planned: Adapt and re-upholster seat to fit the tank, tool tube where the left exhaust used to be, larger weld-on footpegs, XR600 forks, Wilbers shock. Still need to cut/slash the front fender to allow more airstream to the head.
