The construction is a bit compromised in that it's 2 cross one side, 3 cross on the other, to account for the indexing issue. Woody assures me that it's still a strong wheel and he knows his stuff, so I don't question that.
The wheel has held up to everything I've thrown at it thus far, which is not that much honestly, as I haven't had a chance to really explore with that bike in a while.
But, I was concerned that the 1.6 would be less desirable on the road, and on the SE, I actually found I like the handling better than I did with the 1.85.
So, it's doable and it seems to work well.
