I'm pretty sure it's 36. If you are using other than stock wheels, you have to have someone drive the hubs for larger spokes. BMW used a non-standard spoke size. So you have to have the hub drilled for larger, normal offroad, spokes. Woody's can do it. See the above mentioned thread.
