Thanks, Nixels. The PO did do the DL wiring replacement, along with a slew of other upgrades. I was happy to hear that. Just rode two weeks on a 'fant without it, and had cables along. Fortunately, I didn't need them (at least not once I watered the battery!)

If your bike hasn't had the ignition wiring upgrade, you may want to take battery cables. Or park it inside if you're taking 2 days to ride home. Leaving the bike outside at night will just about make it impossible to start in the morning.
If the PO had the DDL (DumboLabs) wiring replacement, then you'll be ok on cold start.
