I think if remember right they also got rid of balancer shafts too.
That's what I read on Inet about it. They also mentioned that attempt to use aftermarket cranckshaft was failure (aftermarket or self-made item could not survive race) and they came back to original cranckhaft which suprisinly had no probems or failures.
There is still Turbo as an variant of boosting power.
