Yes I have tried the studs from Aerostich. I rode about 160 miles in a good snow storm they did well ice, hard packed and small drifts. My buddy had some studs pull out on his driveway, he was pushing through drifts and spinning the rear tire. I like how easy they are to install and they seem to grab well. I put the Scooter B studs in new TKC-80's and have not had any flat tires. I ride a 08 R1200GS Adventure and will run them in the winter from now on I wondn't recomend them for anyone that want's to blast down the dirt roads spinning there rear tire.
Oh one other thing I have about 500 miles on them and don't see any noticable wear.

That is some great insight, thanks! What made you chose the scooter B studs? I ask, because I'm considering getting the "low profile A" set for some slightly worn TKC-80's... will they be to long?
Do you have to remove the tire to install them?
And one last question... if you hit pavement on them, how did they work then, slippery?
