Do remember to put the clutch spring back in the bike in the proper direction - in a BMW airhead that is. Feels like shit when you pull the level. Feels worse as you pull the tranny out just to turn it around.

Do remember to PROPERLY pre-form the rear main seal on you 1981 BMW r80g/s. Improperly forming the seal CAN result in a small tear in the sealing surface allowing high pressure oil to cascade from the back of the engine.

Do remember to clean all of the old gasket material off of the timing chain cover on your BMW airhead engine. Doubling up the gasket on one 1.5 inch long segment of the cover allows a lot of oil to escape.
