WR250R is the king in my book.
After riding many bikes from old XT 500's to newer yz250 two strokes, i would say this is the best little dual sport that anyone has made. The only thing that is close would be the DRZ, but that has 150 more cc's. If you do modify the wr it will blow anything under a 500 on the trails. But i guess it all depends on who is riding, what they want out of the bike. I did drag race a 1977 yamaha tt500 heavily modified(bored balanced, geared for highway, and with proper exhaust) and i outright smoked him down 285. This doesn't translate though into how fast you can go in the woods. The better suspension on the WR is just outright wonderful on the tight stuff. I have ridden a DR but not on the trails. The only thing i would reccommend is going with a 450 on this because the power is a lil soft for me on the nasty shit off-road. Like i said my opinion is this lil 250 has got to be the easiest to ride and the best to do it in the dirt with a plate off the showroom floor. But that's my opinion?
