Ok, I do something on the Bandit every day..it may not be much, but I'm working on it.
I repaired the stock CR500 bars, a press fixed the cross bar and a table bolted to the floor with a big vice and soft jaws together with a 2500 pound overhead crane and I go the bars within a 1/16 of perfect...they were over 3/4" off.
I cut apart the Bandit upper triple and made some bar risers. i think this is about as tall as I can go and use the stock cables.
I carved the key assembly out too. I made a mounting plate, trim to fit later.
I'll probably weld it in behind this part of the frame:
I made some parts to smooth the outside of the graft..extra beefy 1/2" plate.
I picked up a few bits at Cycle Gear, chain roller and some grips. I need to order a few more things, but I'll be out of town for awhile and don't like stuff sitting on the porch all day.
Update in a few weeks.
