You are correct Ben. Here, a subbie is a sub contractor, but not always an owner operator (in our terminology). This bloke has drivers working for him, and I suppose he bought the trucks originally for another purpose.
The argument about higher horsepower costing less is true, except this bloke has a number of different drivers in these trucks who don`t really care too much and often give them a bit too much "welly".
