My 04. House was for sale, garage door was broken, so I needed access to my bike. Realtor was not happy, but who cares. I needed my bike
This makes me happy I have a heated and insulated garage. But I never considered bringing her into a motel room. haha, excellent idea!
Nice pics guys! Keep em coming! Hell, if you don't have a garage why let your poor bike sit out in the cold and rain and rust to nothing? Just make sure its clean and bring it in!
Does this count? I forgot about this one... (31 May 08): For quite some time now, my mirrors have been loose at the joint. For those of you who don't know, the Sprint ST has a hinge on the mirror so you can clip a car or drop the bike or whatever without breaking your mirror too bad. Well, the design of the hinge involves a serrated stem and washer. After the hinge bends over and over again, the washer moves up and puts less pressure on the joint, resulting in a loose, floppy mirror. I decided to take some advice from a member of a Sprint ST email list I'm on and fix it 'in-house', just not IN my house. Actually it was done IN Ace Hardware in Ooltewah, TN. And, yes, I mean IN the hardware store. They were cool enough to say "hey, bud, why not bring the bike in here?" after watching me grab a bolt, walk outside. Come back in. Grab another size bolt. Walk outside. Come back in. Ad infinitum. So, anyway, after a few experiments with different sizes and such, I came up with a pretty nice solution. I was really impressed that they were ok with a bike parked at the end of aisle 17.
I had the VFR "in storage" for a while, so I figured that it would be safest in the living room. The cat liked it!
That one was for a game. It spent the winter in my spare bedroom, but I didn't take a pic for some reason.
Here is my bike in my parents living room over the Christmas holiday a few years back, the garage is used as a green house, and we were going to be out of town for 2 weeks. Dad got a good laugh, mom was kinda mad.
This is in at the Plaza Hotel in Kamloops. We asked them where to park the bike and they said to bring it inside. Real Canadian hospitality.
Ran out of space in the garage and there was this window between the 2 living rooms. Thought it would be a perfect place to display this one.
Seeing this makes me think that housebreaking my GS850G is just what it needs to get fine-tuned. *PUI
Does it count if it's a shitty hotel room? Sorry about the pic quality. I was a bit water logged as was the camera.
