    Cool! $2.49 gas!:D

I'm up for any time! Looks like they met there Monday at 10:30am. That too early for you all? It should be thawing out by then I'd think.

Helmet design opinions needed: First drafts on a couple ideas are up on this webpage

Let me know your thoughts. They aren't "traditional" by any means. These are mine, Noah's might be a few days.

Lisa, the Gear Head is for you. I'm thinking matte black helmet with shiny black gears. :D

Any of these have merit enough to stick on a helmet and see what happens? Feel free to say no, you'll be saving me time.

    Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

FlaggerWife and I just got to P-burgh to spend a few days luxuriating at the Omni William Penn Hotel. Got a very good rate through Hotwire.

    Now we know why:

Yeah .... that's an Occupy Pittsburgh banner on the fence.

Downwind from the hippy hive, eh?

Well, hopefully the hotel's filtration system keeps the Hep-C out.

    :lol3

Srsly, have fun downtown is always interesting. I lived less than 1/2 mile from there in the Washington Plaza building across from the Civic Arena.

Let's say meet there at noon. That'll give a little time in the morning to warm up and we'll have plenty of time to ride around.

    See you tomorrow.

Man, you mean I'll have time in the morning to accomplish stuff? Stuff I've been needing to do, but have been putting off since... uh... well... when did I get a dual sport?

    See you then!

Steeler's fans who are disenfranchised with capitalism?

    :huh

Speaking of that, when I was there last weekend was they were 3 or 4 of them out on the sidewalk (I think 90% of those tents are unoccupied), and they had a huge sign that said "Capitalism destroys community". Before I could say anything, my daughter said "who do they think built this city?"....and we had a good laugh about that...we had just come from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, at the Carnegie Mellon/Pitt University, in a city almost entirely put on the map by super-capitalist Dale Carnegie. Hospitals, museums, learning institutions, parks, and oh yeah the industry and jobs that provided it all just from one guy, let alone all the other stuff that sprang up in Pittsburgh because of the drive for industry and greed, none of which would exist in that location otherwise...it's a poor place for a city.....and these folks are in the epicenter of all that wailing how unjust it all is.

Not a political point so much as pointing out a funny irony. It's like saying "sex destroys families". Uh, no, sex kind of makes families.

Are you going to be riding mostly dirt roads? If so I may be there if you don't mind me tagging along.
