I'm up for some scout rides, love to get to know the area.[/QUOTE]

After the weather gets a bit more "dependably warm" I will post here a few days before I go scouting. Right now the weather is pretty iffy & it's hard to plan ahead.

There's still patches of snow on my driveway, so I know it would be tough on the higher mountains on a bike.

We don't mind 4-wheelers. Just make the trails narrow enough so those damn things won't make it through and we'll be happy!

I just see so many trails ruined by the 4-wheelers. I know it's not everyone! I'm looking forward to getting back up there in the mountains!

I know I am a slacker and haven't updated the in-and-paid list in over a week... but look on the bright side, I did work on a possible shirt design: "pink rainbow puking unicorns on a mono-cyle" :norton

I'm not even sure if I can swing it yet, but when somebody gets out there for ride scouting, see if you can find the nearest ethanol-free station, please?

Probably going to be one of the no-name stations down in Elizabethton. The BP and Shell both are big chains so they'll likely have funny fuel.

Do any of you guys ever do the food coloring test to see if it's really ethanol free?
I know I've gotten some good gas, and it's made a WORLD of difference. Other places, no noticeable difference at all.
(My stroker in the Jeep REALLY doesn't like ethanol. Ethanol free I usually get ~16mpg, e10 I get about 13 and it sputters BAD when starting.)

There is another way of testing as well.. Put fuel in a clear cup.
It will separate in few hours...

What is the food colouring thing ???

We have so many 100% places in our area... :clap..
    And some are NOT listed..

basically, your standard water soluble baking food coloring will disolve and change the color of ethanol based fuel.
It will stay as a drop and fall to the bottom of proper gasoline.

    :lol3

I was looking for the youtube video but can't find it.
    http://www.generalaviationnews.com/2012/12/ethanol-testing-made-easy/

It's the quickest and easiest way I know of. Can even test before you put it in your tank.

in and paid list is updated... I hope. Let me know if I screwed up!

And - we have one spot open in a Creekside Cabin - if you want it, pm me and I will give you the contact for the "seller".

Plus, the owners of the resort will also have another rental available: a 5th wheel (good for one couple in a full bed and two single beds. It's a nice, new and clean camper, however it does not have hook ups, so you would have to use the regular bathrooms and showers. Booking and price will be the same as the smaller cabins.
