"Union, Oregon?" I asked myself. That sure sounds familiar but I don't remember where that is. Had to Google it. Then it dawned on me--sure me and Kirby rode thru Union on a nice wet day last summer! Photographic proof--

But not the day I took the pic of the mystery town!

    No, not Halfway.

This one is turning out better than I thought.

Too soon for clues though. Let's give it some more time.

That was a wild guess which didn't make any sense after I thought about it but by then it was too late to delete it.

But still, Seneca is a great place to visit and I think this thread is all about helping each other to find great places to ride and explore. I once rode from Seneca to Prineville on the Paulina Road. What a great way to see the central Oregon backcountry while avoiding all the traffic on Rt. 26!

Your right on the edge of Idaho with this one if I'm right, Victor, ID. Looking NE from Hwy 31 at the Grand Teton?

    Yes, exactly! :thumb

The big giveaway is that you can actually see one of the Tetons off in the distance and perhaps may understand why the French explorers called them that. It's the dark peak about 1/3 over from the left edge. I took this photo at 7am on a June morning. I'd slept in Jackson Hole Wyoming the night before and got an early start towards Boise.

Many of the folks who live in Victor work in Jackson Hole, which is only 25 twisty miles away. That's because if you work in Jackson you most likely can't afford to live in Jackson, or eat in Jackson. And who wants the Jackson traffic and tourists when you can live in the gorgeous little town of Victor just over the line in Idaho? Even has sort of an uplifting name. I might retire there someday.

    Your turn, Craig.

As Drone wrote that, I was thinking of Craig, saying something similar way back there somewhere.
And I noticed he'd been quiet here, for a while now.

:bert Ya, it's hard to stay away from this thread! So here are a couple photo's and what I'm looking for is the "name of the road".... I'm hoping that the person that knows this can answer a question that I have about it. I was not able to run it all the way to where It should go and was running out of time and took a known route so that I would not end up doing more back tracking that day. Both photo's are taken in the same spot.....

It runs off of the Lonerock road down to the backside (North) of Fossil. Past the Kinzua golf course. It is a fun ride. Linnet and I did it 2009. I would like to go again.
