very few moving parts on a gas turbine, I agree. BUT, most prop planes have better glide slopes, and you can feather the prop and slow your decent. if you loose a gas turbine, all you can do is listen to the fadec try to relight that bitch as you fall back to earth.

I feel safer in either a jet or prop plane than I do in a cage or on the bike. Given a choice, it seems that most of us tend to choose the most dangerous method of travel :huh
Sure air travels safer. But the hoops you got to jump through to get on the fucking plane make me want to shoot people in the face, hence the reason I don't fly anymore, cause it's safer for me and TSA agents.
yeah, I like the taking off, and the landing, otherwise, airports are a hassle, and thats too damn many people in that little aluminum tube for me. airports are like walmart, its a wide array of people, amusing and annoying usually.
Last fall I rode up to the range at Hobbs State Park. It's pretty nice. About 10 stations, sturdy benches, 100 yd. range, target frames, overhead protection. The only down side is that it is a bit of a trek from Fayetteville and it looks like the road can get a bit iffy with regular rain. - JD
Keeping busy. Been working a lot of overtime. Our crew is small and work is piling up. I haven't been riding as much. This is the time of year that I get reacquainted with my Jeep. If and when it gets above 25 I'll ride, but my gear gets too bulky and cumbersome to wear at anything below. Either that or freeze my butt off. I'm too cheap to pay for overpriced heating gear and its nice not having to take off/put on 3-4 layers every time I go somewhere. I hope to get to a swill soon.
Do you sit in the very back of the airplane? You SHOULD! Ever hear of a plane backing into a mountain?
well I have a critter under the house! I have mouse traps and rat traps set..it's been a few weeks since I last caught a mouse. So I decided to make up one of those 5 gal bucket traps. That didnt work as what ever was down there was licking the bait can CLEAN! So I thought it had to be bigger than a mouse, so I made the same trap out of a feed tub..only to have the bait can licked clean again..wtf? so I borrowed a neighbors game cam..I know what it is now.
Thanks guys. That looks pretty good. I'll definitely check it out. I got a friend that lives a few miles South of there. Looks like a good place for us to go and shoot. -- alonzo
You missed a modification of the 5 gal trap. He put a stop (bend) in the wire across the bucket so the can stays in the middle. Now that your critter knows what it tastes like, he won't resist, and he'll jump to the spinning can and drop in unharmed. Then, bring him to Matt's place to keep mini-Mouth's wall squirrel company.
yep..I missed that mod..I got me a big ass rat trap and I am going to secure it to the board leading to the can..can't wait to get pix of it's demise!
