The plain ... I don`t know ... Antonow? Iljuschin? Ask the Faulpelz (second from right). He is an ADV-Member and knows every sh.t like that.

Yup! Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee. Looks like a farm truck and sort of flies like one, too! About the only thing it does well is go slow. It climbs pretty good, too with the ag rig removed. Yesterday the density altitude was 8700' with an airport elevation of 5300' and we were towing to 11,000'.

This is the last of the F-15's at Eglin. I camped at Postal Point the weekend I took this picture.

Too bad it doesn't have any spray booms:cry I think it would pay more and be a hell of a lot more fun flying dodging powerlines and fence rows:lol3

At least you get to fly, more than I can say. One day....

Pay?? People get paid to fly Pawnees? :lol3

I figure that finally someone else is paying for the airplane and I get the mental therapy time alone in the cockpit every weekend as most of my compensation. Landing short and departing on tow from a less than 2000' x 10' runway in high and hot Boulder has a way of focusing one's thoughts on the task at hand...

Yes, years ago it was the case. I must have walked around the terminal for an hour after my first flight as Captain with four new shinny bars.
Today many of us would rather change in the bathroom and go home incognito. Welcome to the days of unruly passengers, disgruntled F/As and locked flight deck doors…

I had the chance to see it in Eggebek some years ago. Where was that picture taken?
