How about East to West starting in Fernie, trying to stay off the tarmac all the way to say Pemberton :clap

day 1 hartley Pass to the Bull river
    [IMG]
Kimberly to Crawford Bay Gray Creek Pass
    [IMG]

fairly easy ... then Norns Creek to Cayuse Creek and arrow lakes and camping or hotel in Castlegar
never done this on a big bike it would be a challeng but FUN :lol3
    [IMG]

Day 2 KVR to Christina lake and GF then north over Burrel creek to Edgewood

My thoughts - ride and camp would be great. Two nights duration is enough, and easy to fit in. I'd rather spend more time on interesting and lesser-travelled singletrack etc and less on the main FSR's. Pluses for incorporating two of the best things about BC - beautiful remote campsites on lakes and natural hot springs.

Absolutely agree but if it is open to everyone the riding has to be geared for everyone . I am no Cyril Despres but I have been riding for some time (I remember honda 70cts) :eek1 Others may be on their first year of dirt, if some one organizes a group ride they need to understand this. The best mix would be some less traveled FSR, single track and maybe alternate routes for those not comfortable with the single. Although riding aggressively on some of the less traveled rough FSR's can be a hoot also
Personally I am happy to try anything as long as after the 4th time I pick my bike up there's someone there to help :lol3

This is an example of a less traveled FSR around here :clap

This all sounds fun. Alternate routes are a good solution. Let's pick a weekend and start planning a route!!

I like the speed at which this is progressing. Looks like I'm not the only one with cabin fever to get out of winter and get outside and put on some miles.

Been a long winter playing and upgrading in the garage ,can't wait to get out and see how it runs.

Anyone going to the bike show in Van this weekend ? Or want to freeze and ride there ?

Yes - my brother is coming over from Nanaimo and we're riding to the show. We're actually planning on heading up Harrison FSR for some riding and a night of camping after we're done with show. The loose plan is to explore around then eventally end up at Skookumchuk Hot Springs Saturday night. The snow level is high enough we may just make it!
Anyone who is interested is welcome to come along.

I'm watching the weather and trying to figure out if I will be able to ride out of the interior to get there.

Thank you to you and your brother for the invite it would be great if I can make this happen.

Hard to find people who want to ride in January in Canada , I won't pass this up lightly.

Add me to the list, currently riding in Bolivia heading south but I will be back in the Calgary area long before August if all goes well...
