Hi All, i've been enjoying the site and wanted to finally post.

Is their any good way to find that nastiest dirt roads that are still legal to travel on? Is there any software that highlights seasonal roads? Right now i'm trying to find em using CN and Gazatteer topos for NY, VT, MA. Big bike friendly roads are nice, but every once and a while i like to give me and my little bike a workout. :D

Bad question? Is the only way to find seasonal roads is to call town by town?

No - just been asked and answered multiple times. Use Google to search ADV.

The simple answer is "no" based on prior experience, but there may be something new out there.

I've found a few of them in MA, VT, and NH just by following Garmin, but I wasn't looking for them. The Gazetteer for Maine has far more info and larger maps than any other state. They're easier to pick out there.

Get a delorme gazeteer for whatever state you want to ride in. Anything that's a dashed line is a good place to start.
