Fano, I want to ride but will you call and leave voicemail with your number too?:huh My phone's display was crushed again.
We should see how far we can go in the snow at Mueller or Bountiful. Maybe take the trials bikes if we
    are feeling lazy?!

Just a maybe at this point. Thinking of going to Death Valley the day after Christmas.
Have to be back on or by the 31st. Depending on weather I'd like to ride out of SLC.

Weather average is 65 in DV. It's getting there could be tricky.

Hey Kev, I used the JD Jet Kit for my 530 with good results. I split the settings between the red and blue needle settings for altitude variation, and it seems to work well. It's a tad bit cold blooded, but otherwise fuels really well.

having difficulty starting and bogging down a little when running. I haven't been over yet to check it out. I thought it was a 41mm carb instead of the stock 39mm so I jetted it for 41mm according to the JD jetting, which should be rich. It was running great at regular temps with this jetting though, 4-9K just fine with no issues, just a little popping on decel and likely not related to exhaust leaks because I plugged those. So I think it might be the same as Kev's thinking, just the colder air/changes in the season. But in theory that would make it run a little better in the cold, not worse, ifs its jetted rich because colder = more air, right?

Also we might as well adjust the valves too and make sure those are in spec...

This is the problem with selling bikes to friends.. :puke1 :D

Not starting... idle for 30 seconds, upon any throttle it dies. He put the carb on in the summer and i think its just not jetted correctly. We're going to go through it soon. I was just hoping someone had the same carb dialed and could tell me where to begin.
