    Ben,
I in no way photo-shopped that picture. Seriously. I grew up in Red Bluff and knew that sign was there, I spent a lot of time on hwy 36 near where I took that picture. Took my first MSF course at 15 1/2 within 5 miles of that sign! I live in Southern California now, and on my return trip from Alaska last month I stopped by and took the shot. I'm sure there some Norcal natives here that can vouch for me. I DID NOT photoshop that picture. It is 100% real.

Sorry T, mea culpa. I sure didn't mean to imply that you changed the photo.

Call me a skeptic (and I know its all for fun in this thread anyway), but some of the signs are so obviously modified - whether by photo manipulation or paint on the sign or whatever.

BTW, I need to check out that road!!

    Cheers,

    Ben

No reason to be sorry... I share the same sentiments on how people photo shop stuff, some times it's so obvious its funny. :roflI'm really fond of that road, and yes... You should check it out sometime if you ever make it out west. I wish I had posted on this thread sooner. When I think about it, I see a lot of funny road signs... And all of them are for real.

I can vouch for that. We were on vacation heading up to see the redwoods. HWY 36 looked like a quicker way to get there. I was driving a supercab long bed Ford PU. Took about 6 hrs and we only saw 3 other vehicles the whole way. Had to make several stops because my wife was getting motion sickness. I loved it!

:roflSnapped this whilst in Himalayas last Sept. It gets a serious message across in a light hearted manner, so really makes you think. (Hope you can read the sign) We saw loads of these & they all stopped us in our tracks & made us smile!
