The one with the rubber plugs in it. Tinned the trigger wire shoved it in the hole
and put the rubber plug back in to hold it in place. A little tight, but it can be done.
I can't remember the color wire right now.

I just put a test light on it and turned the key on to find out which one went live.

I want to say the brown one. Check for sure.

If you turn off the kill switch the fuel pump won't cycle when you turn the ignition key on, fyi.

I used this universal fuse box set up.

    http://www.electricalconnection.com/power-distribution/pplate.htm

Plenty of room under the seat it fits perfect in the front area.

It has 6 outlets. I had three left after the Heat-Trollers and one BMW outlet.

I mounted the relay at the top of the tool kit area.

I used the power plug to the Yamaha heated grips for the relay trigger wire.
I pulled the rubber plug on the brown wire, tinned the trigger wire and shoved
it into the plug. Used the original rubber plug, tight fit, to hold it in place.

The first Heat-Troller controls the grips. The second one does the heated vest BMW outlet.
I like to paint the Heat-Trollers with liquid electrical tape just cause.

Nice find on that fuse block! I've been using this generic one, but that looks way better!

Of course this one is only $9.

    Hm.

While I'm on the farkle kick I was messing around with some stuff I already had
lying around. The Wolfman tank panniers were not wide enough for the Tenere.
I also didn't want to block the cooling system.
Turns out they are just right to go around the factory bag. Easy to loosen to
open the bag if needed. I have top bags for the top of the bags too.

Found this Kolpin set buried under some other stuff. Fit perfect over
the KLR's trunk. So for water or fuel. Might get a little top heavy.

Made this quick to get the drink bottle out of the tank bag away from cameras and ipod.

I would be helpless without my head bolt loser.:D

Anyone in Northern, IL who has a S10 I can throw a leg over? Can't find a dealer with one in stock to even just sit on.

I just like the other style because it is designed to be switched by the key.
It also has a hot wire for battery charging. I use the always hot BMW outlet
for charging so I've never hooked up the charge wire. Used the same set up
on two FJRs and a Strom without any problems.

pluric, thanks for the additional power bar photos. Thanks for the Wolfman pannier and water bottle placement suggestions.

Panniers would be nice with the straps trimmed to secure over the sidecase handles.

The factory straps go under the Yamaha bag and hold it top and bottom.
    Seemed very secure.

I did a double up ride to Jackson with my wife. I bought a couple flat bottom
duffle bags from a discount outdoors place. Under $10, It's the KLR owner in me.:D

I knew I would want the additional storage room for womens stuff. I was trying
to run the top trunk empty for shopping space. She didn't buy a thing! :huh

    Anyway, they worked out perfect.

I just shortened some quick release packing straps and used the handle holes
so it couldn't slide left or right.

I did put an extra loop through the upper handles and the passenger handle to be sure.

They didn't move at all. If you're worried about weather just put a garbage sack in first
before loading the bags. I also use those shrink down packing bags that are waterproof.

Home Depot has these Husky receipt bags that make a nice heavy duty tool bag.
Has a little card window that I put my extra keys in.

I replaced the factory crap with a little better China crap.
The rear wheel nut is 27mm and I added the front axle hex too.
Twice I've been on the road where a non Yamaha dealer wouldn't
remove the wheels for liability reasons. I know, What???
So I like to carry enough to pull them if I have to.

It will still roll up and fit in the factory tool kit area. With a little nudging.

I made a mounting plate for the Givi style trunks. After ordering Altrider crash bars
I decided to get their rack system too. It has a mini trunk that I'm hoping will hold
the inflater and tire plugs. I should be set after that.

    Obviously a photochop,

Everyone knows the S10 is a "Road Only" bike. :lol3

Love the Bicycle brakes in the front. :eek1

Gets good air for a monster.

I wish. I've bought her several bikes, that of course I would ride if she wouldn't,:evil she prefers passenger.
Anyway, she makes me too nervous when she will ride her own.
