Not geared up nearly enough to judge by his knee. If he'd been wearing leathers instead of jeans he might have been uninjured. Wonder if he was ticketed.

Looks to me like she was slinging it over pretty hard just as the transition over the road patch caused a little loss of weight and traction at the front end. She was being too aggressive, not looking far enough round the corner and not reading the surface very well.

Why did that female rider crash in post #194? Seemed like she just leaned into the road. ???

Watching the slowmo it looks like the swingarm slider might have touched down. Either that or she just lost the front, but it's really hard to loose the front on the throttle.

I'm with crofrog.....she put it over far enough to touch a hard part down. She needs to learn to get her butt off the bike in a turn.

I think that's an artifact of the shutter speed on the camera. The revs definitely increase.

pulling the clutch in would do the same thing, and that hopping sound isn't normal with power slides

Had a nice time out there on a Friday morning a few weeks ago. Doing the run from the overlook down to the store. Me in a Tacoma, following my son and his friend on their skateboards. The kids are feckin nuts. But, they hug the white line on all curves and stay in control.

Too much lean angle too quickly. Not a smooth transition, too abrupt. Also, like Smurf said, she needs to get some weight moved over the inside of the turn.

Seems like he got on the gas too hard, too late. A smoother application started sooner might have transfered more weight to the rear and kept traction. Hard to do but this is not the time to let off the gas, this is a "when in doubt gas it" moment!
