Here is a cell phone shot in front of "The Mittens" in Monument Valley from a 2011 trip to the Southwest.
There have been many amazing sceneries so far on this South American trip but the road to El Chalten was on top off the list so far...
The road up to the Kardung-La Pass in Ladakh, India. This is the highest motor road in the world, topping out at 18,230 feet at the Pass.
Yes this is a scan of a 35mm pic. I know in a few years getting 35mm film will likely be impossible but to me there is still something about it. It seems more final. You aren't sure you go the shot until later on. Maybe i'm crazy. This was taken Northbound on the Haul Road in 2008. It represents one of my favorite parts of the tip but to me it shows everything we did. Loaded bike, far from home, dirt road, on a full blown adventure. Life and work can beat you down and take the joy from you sometimes but this pic shows me that sometimes there is adventure out there. You just have to load the bike up and make it happen.
Awesome photos in here - so much riding to do, so little time... A couple of my best shots: Mexican Hat Utah: California Pass CO: Engineer Pass CO: Bonneville Salt Flats Utah:
