ADVTuga, sweet stuff. Pretty gnarly right at the end, no room for error. Looks like some good riding in Portugal as well.
Money... I never seem to have enought to buy all the toys. I bought a system to keep the bags off that muffler and it never should never have melted, it did. Had to wrap everything in 1500 degree tape and then in asbestos tape. The heat produced is amazing, you don't need a stove to cook, it will boil water, cauterize wounds, meld broken plastic or you can use it to beat wild animals to death! Will be buying a FMF exhaust once the snow melts. Also need lighting as the stock stuff is worse than using a paper cup and a lighter. I love the 690 much more than my 525 but it takes thousands to make it worthy of adventure touring...
No, haven't heard anything from Wilhelm. However, looking at the picture of his bike and the pictures from Rally-Raid Products and Mecasystem, I'm 99% positive that the tanks are from RRP and the fairing is from Mecaystem. See for yourself: http://www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk/products/Tank_Kit http://www.mecasystem.fr/eng/ca/72/rally-kits/ktm-690-enduro-r-09-10/ Regards, FechFech
Looking good!! Where did you find that windsheild for Trail Tech X2? Also is that the HID or halogen version? Is it good light? Also is the Safari tank easily removed to revert back to the OEM configuration? I would only want it installed for the long hauls and OEM for the dirt parks.
windshield was on when i bought it.. the halo lights work well but still looking to upgrade. the safari is easy to re-fit once you know how.. found out the hard way after a deep creek crossing a couple of weeks ago..
