Eastern Oregon is a fabulous place to explore....this was taken on a side trip out of the John Day Rally last year.

Between Beaver, Arkanasas and Seligman Missouri. This is thought to be an old Butterfield Stagecoach station (but to date I haven't confirmed this). Inside part of the structures were small pens. These pens were only big enough perhaps for pigs or goats. In part of the structure there was an odd looking room. Looked like a safe room with a massive, thick wooden door. Just outside this room was a very large Cistern and an odd catwalk on top of the building. All of it was beneath a monolithic rock cliff. Note the rub marks on the support posts on the left side of the last picture. Perhaps where horses or cows were tied?

Thanks! These were all down in an area of KC referred to as the 'West Bottoms'. Pretty much deserted, with a few companies still storing stuff down there. A ghost town vibe though, for sure. Most of the buildings are late 1800's - early 1900's.
