Hallo Folks, here is my 50cc Hercules/Sachs from Nürnberg. It´s from januarary 1969 and it is still original. I found it on ebay, i cleaned it and now it´s on the road. Only 5,8 HP, but it goes over 80 km/h . It was the dream of the germany youg generation ....
Hi compatriot from Dragonhill, you are right: these bikes like Hercules, Zündapp ("es zündet und stellt ab), Kreidler and Maico have been the dream bikes of our young generation whenn we were 15 years old. I owned a Kreidler Florett of 1964 and couldn't imagine in that times what kind of big bikes we would have only some years later... It was incredibile what followed after. Thank you for pics of your Schnapsglas-dream. Nelliedriver
R90/6. Love I wish I could get it to put the pic up without Having to click the link. I'll keep working on that. Anyway, Lester mags, Heinrich tank and an Rs fairing. http://instagr.am/p/QTDrR0mVYb/

Just got this! It looks pretty nice, but there is a small hole in the exhaust collector near where it connects to the muffler (see last pic), so I'm open to suggestions as to the best way to repair it. Bringing it home: This thing is absolutely beautiful! It was its owner's pride and joy, but he didn't have time to ride it enough (he has an R1150R too, which he doesn't ride enough either), so he decided to sell. The owner was torn about selling, but after meeting me and talking to me for a while was happy it was "going to a good home". It was definitely his baby. The left side case and countersprocket cover are BRAND NEW. As are the mirrors, and the seat and seat grab handle. The inside of the tank is 100% free of any rust and clean as a whistle. The original paint on it is about an 8.5. The only reason it isn't a 10 is a few minor scratches and one small chip repair. The tank decals are excellent as well. Cosmetic needs to make perfect: clean up, and maybe paint the right side engine cases (not bad, but look bad due to the new ones on the other side), same goes for the valve covers. Wet sand and maybe polish the rear brake drum, and fork lowers. Other needs: Battery is dead. Small hole in exhaust collector as was shown in the pics. Brake caliper is hanging. We pushed up his uphill driveway and loaded it just fine, but when I applied the brake bringing it down off my trailer, it never released. It was a real #$%* pushing it into the garage with the brake hanging like that. I tried releasing pressure with the bleed screw in case the problem was a collapsed brake line but that didn't help. I'll be having to rebuild or replace the caliper. As for the engine, it starts and runs nicely, so I'm sure just an oil change, valve clearance check/adjust, and timing check/adjust, and it'll be all set. With my '75 CB360T:
First ride on "new" 1981 Husky 420 automatic, not quite used to it yet as free out when off gas so no engine braking. Very convenient in tough terrain though, no worry about clutcing, gearing or stalling. Twist and go :!: Not pretty but then I don't need to worry about crashing
jas67 I have a friend that recently restored a cb400f including a repair to the exhaust. I will contact him and see if he will PM you.
Nice looking wing! I like the solo seat. I regret selling my old '81 1100, would have been nice to strip down all the Vetter crap that was on it and make it a naked wing. Enjoy
pretty good for sure.......having battery issues now, so i only rode it for a mile before it left me stranded......dang it..... other than that, when it starts, it start quick and strong......runs good, sounds good.......
I had an 83 wing for two months this summer. Great motor but I was not fond of the huge fairing. Traded it on a KLR650. I'm happy but that naked one looks like much more fun then mine ever was. I like the removal of the "G" - appropriate.
