Offical Honda Shadow 750 Thread ...

That is a nice looking exhaust. Pretty sure they came that way, right? Either way it looks really good.

Here is my camping set up. After 10 years and 20k miles I am thinking of selling her. I keep changing my mind. I have a Burgman 400 and a Kymco Agility 125 and its a mater of space and up keep cost.

Nice camping setup. I dig the sheepskin.

For med. to long distance the Shadow's displacement would be better that the other two...upkeep on the Shadow ='s penny's.

Initially I was going to buy a sportster...but then found out they lowered it again!.....Shadow RS750 had/has much better ground clearence.....so here I am.

Last August, a Honda dealer near me had this 2011 Phantom for $6599 + prep and tax. I was bikeless at the time and jumped.
I blinged it up a tiny bit and this summer I think I will go on a 10,000+ mile roadtrip with it. So far I like it.







My wife likes it better than the Versys I had. It's "more her style".

A dealer here in DE is offering the 2010 Shadow RS for $5999.

I've not paid too much attention to this model but that did catch my attention. Does that seem like a fair price? If I had my druthers I'd like mag wheels and a larger fuel tank but neither are "deal breakers: to me as most of my riding would be local.

A bit late,but an answer is better than none. If it's a 2010 leftover....fantastic price!.

My trip on the Phantom ended up being a little over 7000 miles

Those were Cobra floorboards. Very comfortable on long trips. BTW that Phantom is gone. On this CB1100 now.

Hey ZZ-R Rider, I'm curious if that little flyscreen does anything to reduce the wind on your chest at speed on the highway. I realize it would only reduce the wind, but is it noticeable effective? I'd like to find one for my Shadow Spirit but I'd likek to keep the size to a bare minimum. Otherwise, I'll need to find a larger removable shield so I can take it off for backroad day trips.

Have had that Nat. Cycle Flyscreen on several Bikes over the years and love it ... I'm a smaller guy and it does a great job of relieving wind pressure on my chest & upper arms on the highway ... plus I have always liked the "minimalist look" of it ...

Just picked this one up over the weekend. It's a 2000 750 ACE with 16k miles on it in pretty good shape, stock with the exception of Vance & Hines pipes, which are a little loud for my tastes. Would've preferred an RS or Phantom, but they were way over my stated budget. I've never been much of a cruiser guy, but wanted a dead simple reliable bike to ride when all my project bikes are in pieces, and for 20 bills, I couldn't say no!



Now if only the weather would warm up so I can do a little maintenance and ride the #$%^ out of this thing!

Does anyone know where on the bike the owner's manual might be hiding? It looks like the side covers under the seat should pop off and reveal something but it's cold and I don't want to break any clips.

On my '03 Spirit, it was located under the left-hand side cover inside a small "locking" compartment, with the tool kit. The compartment "locks" using the key, but is about as secure from theft as your average zip-lock bag.

'06 Spirit same as '03 under sidecover ... I keep mine in the house though ... the Manual that is

So I pulled the covers, good news is the tool kit is there. No owners manual though
