I like the loop on old 94. Visit railroad museum, ride up to Santa Ysabel, Julian(traditional apple pie with ice cream), then head towards Cuyamaca to eventually loop down towards Otay lakes.
Careful on trip to Mike's. Lots of people pre-running.
Have a couple of friends riding dirt bikes from Santa Veronica to Cabo then taking a plane back.

I envy your trip to MIke's.
My last ride in Baja on race day will be exactly 3 years.
When i used to live in Tijuana, I would start from my house 1 block from Caliente racetrack, hit dirt at Rodriguez dam, ride east to Valle de las Palmas , a little highway sprint and then pure dirt to Santa Veronica, from there, many would choose single track or "alternate routes to Ojos and onwards to Valle T.
(as a matter of fact, thanks to locals telling Sal Fish of this route, 1995 Baja 2000 that started in Tijuana, took such route.
Maybe some lurkers remember such fun and different Baja experience.
All has changed due to newly developed housing, blvd 2000 between Tijuana and Rosarito .
Say hello to Mike' Chichi(Mikes brother), Miguel
Tell them Pepe Trueba said HOLA:D

Is that Saline Valley just north of DV, or northern DV up near Racetrack/Ubehebe? Don't immediately recognize the area.

    hey nice bike..

I have been digging around trying to find out if the Adventure switch block would fit the SE. I dislike the EXC switch block on the SE here in Australia.

is it a direct plug and play?

Got it. I've been through here in my Jeep. Actually rescued a lost family of Russian tourists in this area a few years back. They was trying to use the park supplied map to navigate and were hopelessly lost -- after dark. (And if you've never been in this area after dark, you have not fully experience dark!) They had to follow me out in their rental Subaru after I gave them my spare 5 gallons of fuel.

Awesome area. You could ride a lifetime in and around DV and never get board. I love the higher elevations of the north end of the park.

I think I'd like in on this group as well. I've decides that 99% of the North American allocation for 950SE's ended up in SoCal.

We need to organise a SoCal/AZ SE weekend. It would be awesome to see so many SEs all in one place.
