    came apart just fine.

Never done it yet however my new helmet has white-ish foam. It's getting visibly disgusting.

I may consider it with this helmet, as this is the first helmet I've purchased that's actually higher end.

Hopefully I'll have it a while.

It is difficult enough to pull on a brain bucket let alone it being sleazy inside.I wash mine about every 3rd or 4th use if it's warm weather. I own 4 and rotate. EXO's come apart and go back together easily.

I wear it every day, so I wash the liner & cheek pads monthly. The EPS foam also gets a wipedown while its all apart.

I've done it once, what Twi does monthly, and mine needs it more often for sure.

I wear a Slik under my helmet. It helps keep it clean and fresh. It also makes putting on the helmet over earplugs, headphones and glasses easier.

Being bald my head sweats directly into any liner. I can wash the Slik every week or so and it keeps everything fresh!

I wash mine once or twice a summer. Shampoo actually does a great job. It's formulated to clean up head funk.

My Nolan N90 liner comes out easy and washes up nice! I seat a lot so wash a lot. I have also trimmed some of the foam in the liner so that it fits better over my eyeglasses/ears. Seems like all helmets ought to have easily-removable liners.

I do. Even wearing a LD Comfort helmet liner, the helmet starts to stink after awhile.

Done it several times. Even gone so far as to remove the styrofoam padding from the helmet shell as well. Don't worry, if you paid attention when you took it apart, it will go ack together just fine. If you didn't it will take a little longer but you'll get it!

Count me in on the helmet liner cleaning. I use baby shampoo and do it every 5-6 weeks. Really cleans up the interior nicely. I just consider it part of my riding maintenance along with cleaning my shield and outside of the helmet after every ride.

I do mine fairly regularly. I took apart my dirt bike helmets after every crash to inspect the foam liner, if it was dented, time to replace. I had one crash, the outside of the helmet looked fine, took out the liner and the foam liner was dented and cracked. Saved my melon.

A while back, someone suggested using Head and Shoulders are similar for cleaning liners.

+1 - I have several (for long trips) and use them religiously. Haven't had to wash a helmet yet even after 2 - 3 years in central Texas!

I have a Shoei and pull the pads every once in a while and stick them in the machine on gentle. I also leave a dryer sheet inside the helmet on occasion. Just helps with the heat and stink in my garage from making it unpleasant after a hot ride.

Hint, do not do that if you are bald! The chemicals in it can make putting anything on your head very uncomfortable for a while.

Wash any removable parts several times a year in the washing machine.
Wash the rest in the laundry sink with woolite and water has hot as I can put my hands in.
Usually let it soak a couple hours then set out to dry.

I have 3 regular use helmets and 2 of the 3 seem to get fresh as new but my shark has a stink I can't shake. It's got the most summer miles on it, so that might mean something.

I wear an EVS sweat beanie that helps a lot. It gets washed roughly every 2 weeks...sometimes sooner. I ride daily.
