I was looking for a bike and came across this one: http://www.bettencourts.com/new_veh...2013J8I46I37JAMQ7746R0&veh=107262&pov=3037854

Is this a legit 2009 BMW 650? I can't find a single webpage/resource showing a "white" 650 for 2009, which makes me think something sketchy is going on. Does anyone know if these were released in 2009? Or was it just the black and red (because that's all I can find)?

I just don't want to get ripped off with some "BMW kit" or something. The guy agreed to sell it for $4,800, which seems like a really great deal. I also test rode it, and it was nice, but I just CANT find another white 2009 BMW G 650GS anywhere. And there's a sticker where the "GS" writing should be.

I dunno, maybe just paranoid. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

4500-ish. Why can't I find a white 2009 650gs anywhere else in the world (internet world)? Shit's weird...

If the dealer can substantiate an accurate title for it, and perhaps indicate whom it came from, maybe you could have a conversation with the previous owner to settle your instincts.

    And then BUY IT.

    Great bike.

Could've been damaged and repainted. I've seen an owner paint a new bike just because tho. Take the VIN to a BMW Dealer and see what the build sheet says. Could also look under the panels for traces of repaint.

Not that I care but this isn't the thumper section.

I recently picked up a used 2009 G650GS with 4000 miles on it from Max BMW for $5000 out the door. I do not believe they made a white G650 in 09 but it could have been repainted or all the plastic could have come from an older, white Dakar. Is it a well established, reputable dealer, if so I wouldn't worry about it.

I would for sure have to say that's been reprinted, (no decals anywhere). But IMHO it looks good and hell, for that price who cares what it looks like! As long as envy thing is mechanically cool, I say go for it!

I'm gonna be saving lives on this MF. :clap

Thanks for your input everyone. I got the VIN from the dealer, and now I'm debating whether to spend the $30 on a carfax report.
