FULL POINTS AGAIN! 229 miles for the Indian 101 riders Josh Jeff and Ian and also Steven Rinker went full distance according to his report, but the stats must have a missing number there not 29 but 229 miles. Doug started at the top of the hill and got 133, and Marcin starts tomorrow.

Cold this morning, 28 degrees in West Yellowstone, 26 degrees at Lake. Foggy from the light rain yesterday, should clear fast with the rising sun. The cabins at Lake Lodge aren't much but expensive, and it is only about 80 miles from Lake to Jackson South, so the route must go around the Grand Loop, which makes sense if Lunch is in fact at Faithful. Question is is it over Dunraven Pass and through Mammoth or over Blanding Hill to by way of Norris and Canyon?
Anybody know the actual route? The rain should settle the smoke, Jackson will be smokey, a human caused fire right South of town. http://inciweb.org/incident/3241/ Tetons have been mostly clear each day depending on the prevailing winds.

From what I've read, the actual routes are not made public and the riders are unaware of the days route until the morning of each departure.

Doug's SPOT is headed North into Hayden Valley, so Grand Loop it is, Go man GO!

might have to skip work in abit and head to Faithful, normally a place I avoid.

Be on the look out for Old Ozzy as well....all the way from the land of the banned...way down under. He's on a red KLR and hopes to meet the Cannonballers at Ol Faithful.

    Dude,
You've got some fans here. And, I'm glad to say I'm one of 'em. Maybe you need a brass hammer to go with your bras cajones? Tap, tap! You do know that all you'd have to do is ask and most of us would give you a hand. Really. Good luck.

The riders don't find out until they receive their maps for the next days run, many don't get the map until a few hours before they take off.

Looks like it's been a good day in Jellystone! :clap ...the tracker made steady progress anyway and it's showing Doug down on the South end of the Tetons now, not far from the finish.

I wonder if there will be any buffalo stories? :patch

After Doug's SPOT started moving North I waited untill I could figure out which way West he would turn, when he turned left I jumped on my bike and headed into Madison Jct. headed North and saw Doug just leaving Gibbon Falls, did a quick U turn and caught up to him going down the road at about 35 mph on the far right side. You could smell the bike, a nice faint aroma of burnt oil and leaded gas.

Caught up to him again at Firehole Canyon Drive

and introduced myself at another pullout on Fountain Flats. The old and the almost new in this image

Further down the road got the "salute"

    and a wave

The bike was running fine the last I saw him. I went on to Old faithful but must have missed him there, it's a big place and it wasn't a mandatory stop.

A bunch of other bikes went by in the "entourage" including number 52 on a trailer, a 1928 BMW R52

The number 33 1921 Harley of David Cava looked pretty serious

Some bikes seemed to be along for the ride without numbers

Randy Aron's 1914 Harley is almost a bicycle with the pedals and slim frame.

The 1913 Excesior I think is the oldest bike in the rally

    #52 is a 1928 BMW R52 not a 1925 JAP.

Just a few more shots and I had to get back to work, as frustrating as it was figuring out where the route was, seeing the bikes roll by was worth it
