Dakar 2013 - Official Torrent Thread

I don't even know what you're talking about. I don't care to devote that much of my life figuring it out. I just want to watch some Dakar when I can squeeze in some time between work, and developing open source UAV technology.

They have had great video all Rally so far and plus you can brush up on your French.

I for one, would very much appreciate it.

Guess I'm just very Canadian eh. Never thought to do something "crazy" like sign up with ADVR before, just kinda creeper(ed)? from the sidelines. ...pulled info on checking valve clearances, doing LC4 oild changes and the like.

Even bought my KTM from a guy that posted it on here back in '07.

Fast forward to Jan 2013, desperate for some Dakar enlightenment and willing to sacrifice my anonymity to do so...

I can only suggest you just follow your own advice and when you find a thread you don't like, "don't use it". There are plenty of other threads.

The flash video plays ok on my Nook. And if I download the flash files (they are MP4), it's perfect playback.

Yes, the fish and other private torrent sites are faster with the files. But everyone asks for an invite on about January 5th. They forget about the site on Jan 20th and come back the following year. Private sites don't work well with absentee users. Hence the reason for the Secret Site that we are using in this "official" thread.

Access is open to those who can figure out who to PM and have made at least one or two posts on advrider sometime in the past 10 years. You can torrent from the Secret Site, but you can also just click the "Watch now" link and not have to figure it out.

Working on getting Stage 4 posted. Late release for this one... Will be up ASAP.

I thought I had a Business trip next week, but I got out of it. :) That means I can keep doing this for the duration of the Dakar, which is good for me, and possibly some of you according to the blinky lights on my network switch.

I see the French version of stage 5 is up already on RFM! I could get that but then I'd have to translate for my wife. Would take all the fun out of watching it.
