What tank bag are you using? I've tried a few different ones and I can't find one I like (or that fits right)

Mmmmmmmmmmmm ... lovely.

That is the Joe Rocket Manta tank bag. I bought it for my 2K8Z1K, and use it on both bikes. It's small, but holds a camera, batteries, reading glasses, a map, pen, ear buds. It came with a cover that blew off first time I had to use it. Oh well. No complaints about the bag.

I have 3M paint protection where the magnet flaps contact the C14 tank.

Hmm....straight road. Have you at least had the bike completely airborne over the humps?

32". The position on the strom is different enough to make a diff. for me.

I killed of my knees by my 30's. Bicycle racing, X-C skiing, backpacking, etc. Paying for all that fun now that I'm 50.

Happy 3 year Birthday Connie14 motorcycle. 68,710 miles and has never once left me stranded due to electrical or mechanical problems (or any other!). Been to the Rockies in July snow and 118 degree desert heat. It has taken me to Vegas and Atlantic City to roll dice. Montreal, Canada for a friends cookout, Maine for fresh lobster, Los Angeles and the Hollywood sign. Been to the Valley of Fire in Nevada, and off-roading in Moab, Utah. Been to the Dragon more times than I can count, and been to the Adirondacks and Catskills mountains. Fortunately I have a free house sitter and this coming weekend will be meeting friends in the Everglades, and if my house sitter is up to a long stint it'll be in Alaska this summer. This bike is probably the best value I've had in my life on any vehicle of any kind because its been zero drama and hardly any maintenance.

So you've been all over the place and you give us this crappy pic?

I agree. IMO pound for pound best value in motorcycling. Kawasaki has been making the in-line 4cyl for so long. Such a great motor and bulletproof.

Since, Ms. Iron bought her C14 in the middle of winter, it seemed like high time for a maiden voyage even though it was 36 and snowing occasionally.

So far, great bike. There was enough weather protection for me to be comfortable with a single over layer, the bike was impeccable on some sketchy pavement, and the heated grips were "good enough". A little more heat wouldn't hurt anything though. The KTM units on my ZX-14 will fry my hands on high. On the big plus side, the bags are big enough for a mini-WalMart run and the power is bagger fabulous. It's not my ZX-14R, but pretty ripping for a bagger.

Like some others have mentioned, might have to experiment with a different windshield at some point, but Ms. Iron has the final say on that. Still, that's my only concern for now.
