I love Brian Moore. I read his biography a while ago - excellent book. The man says it as he sees it and he's normally spot on.

Oh keeerist it has to be said - that was a devastating loss for France. France fielded a team with most of its members who will be too old for the next RWC. England are in full rebuilding and uncertainty and they pulled it off. I had an inkling that it was coming, but I thought it was too unlikely, but it happened. Congrats to eng fans.

However, on a brighter not I am predicting that Scotland will not take the Wooden Spoon.

England Ireland looks to be another good game this weekend.

Report from the second match day of the IRB Nations Cup in Romania.

Italy ('Emerging Italy') beat Portugal 28-21 after a pretty balanced game. The Portuguese were graceful enough to perform a tour of the pitch after the game.

Local favourites Romania beat Argentina ('Jaguars') 23-21 after a particularly brutal slog which saw several heavily fought, but unsuccessful attempts at try by the Romanians (and a short boxing match between two opposing players, which landed both of them in the sin bin).

Russia beat Uruguay 19-13 in the final match of the day. Many, many fouls by the Russians; they had one player or another in the sin bin for about half the match.

All in all, great entertainment for the equivalent of $3 an entry ticket (the carts had pretty expensive beer, though; not particularly great, either).

Sadly, no. I think it was only broadcasted on local networks. There may be some clips on several streaming sites etc.

Not surprising to see you lurking in the 6N thread.
Your guys might be able to beat Scotland or Italy...

A semi decent performance from les bleus, but the ozzies looked a little sleepy. Well earned victory pour les bleus, but a little exaggerated. The Ozzies will do better next week against the pomms when they catch up on their sleep.

Hopefully not long. Lots of lads including Cooper are milking their injuries so as not to report to camp. Cooper is a grade A dbag but a good coach could massage good rugby out of him.
