    Thanks Sylvia,

Yeah, regret selling the GT. Worth a motsa now, but back then needed the cash for house renos.
It was a pleasure to restore and own.

I've never met you Bill but have heard your name mentioned by Mr Clarke, Big Al, Mr Peters et al.

Like you I wouldn't mind the GT back, but i also doubt that will happen.

'77 at UNE. A squirt between Earle Page & Robb Colleges. Crappy instamatic, but great memories. UNEMCC - the first bike club I joined and I reckon it was the reason I dropped out after 18 months.:freaky:bubba:ricky:kumbaya:slurp:killen:bmwrider:dutch:confused:viking:ricky

Not mine, I'm 'doing an Old Ozy' and stealing someone else's photo. An object of desire IMHO.

    Well known around the place.

Just happened to be there when I finished a job one day in Leichhardt.

About late 1969~1970, my 1950 Matchless 500. Sat astride by a hot chick, who became, and is still, my wife.

This bike replaced my 1950 AJS 500, which broke down by just thinking about riding it.:baldy

The Machless however, wasnt so subtle. All it wanted to do was kill me. It almost did twice, sold it before it had a third try. Second one was worse than the first, front suspension came right out, inner and outer slider tube jammed fully out...massive tankslap....massive off (which I was reminded about recently when I had my right wrist XRayed, and the doctor wanted to know what were all the badly set fractures in my lower arm, wrist and hand were from...

This bike was a British classic, foot brake on the left hand side, gear change lever on the right.....try switching between that and a suzuki 185 trail bike we were using around the property as an AG bike also at the time.

...No wonder I am so confused all the time....blame it on my past experiences with British bikes (all that said, would love to still own it).
