Very nice photos. One of my daughters is a graduate of Marietta College and we always enjoyed visiting that area.

Did you have any trouble handling the hills/mountains of WV on the XT?

    Good stuff!

I put a new set of tires on m XT a few weeks ago, a D606 rear and a MT21 front.

This combo completely changed the bikes attitude.

The bike will literally go anywhere now.

Best bike available for the money:

Easy maintenance, light, cheap, good MPG, loves being rode hard and put up wet.

Not at all. The bike handled very well. I did a fair amount of off-road riding in West Virginia and when I say off-road I mean way off-road. I would say that this bike is a very good dual sport motorcycle. It handled the off-road trails very well and the back roads of West Virginia very well also. I did have two downshift obviously on some of the hills and mountains as you would think you would on any 250 cc bike. But this bike has plenty of power for what I need and is a fun bike to ride.

Hey...here are some pictures of the new 2010 XT250 that I took at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in Cleveland, Ohio. There does not seem to be much of a change from the 2009 model except for newer and better looking tires different colored stickers in some kind of new canister looking thing on the engine on the left side.

    Take care.

I like the XT250. If it's anywhere near as good a duallie as my 2007 XT225 then it should do well. My only mark against the 250 is that it's a five speed. That's one of the best things about the 225. That and how suprisingly torquey the 225 is. And the great gas mileage.Mine easily gets 95 mpg if I take a long ride and keep it at 50mph.

I will be taking some overnight back road trips on my XT when the weather gets better. We're already planning some. My wife will ride her SYM HD200. Can't talk her into camping though!!

Well it's March 1st, the temp was in upper 30's and the sun was shining...got the bike out and did a few miles. Sure felt good.

Had a couple of hours to kill before heading into work this morning, so...I went for a ride!

Found a little gem of a spot up in the mountains. Can't wait to go back and explore some more.

The little XT performed beautifully. I definitely miss the power and torque of my DR650, but it's hard to fault this bike. It just does everything I ask of it.

(cell phone pics. sorry for the subpar quality)

Thanks...the area is a great place to ride.

Sorry about the not so good color in the pictures...I did not notice that the setting on the comera was off untill I up-loaded the pictures to the computer. Oh well.
