CanĀ“t upload gpx-file? Converted from Garmin gdb via Babelgps to gpx, runs in Chrome. Nothing happens.....
dont know if conversion is your issue but i use gpstrackmaker for conversion duties with no probs. never used babel
Did you do anything to improve loading time? I just loaded a track I started last week and it seemed much quicker than before. Keep up the good work! I've started planting the idea to my local group to buy 6" roadbook holders. So far, this is the best deal I've found for a manual holder: $45 USD + shipping
for a manuel route sheet scroller in aus/nz: http://www.torpedo7.com.au/products/T7TO4NNER/title/torpedo7-enduro-route-sheet-holder $20 +post of $9 almost regardless of order size. soz, dont know if they do international orders.
This is exactly what I have been looking for to put together the routes for our annual Selkirks Rally. Let me know if you need more testers! Thanks Kurt
Hey Mike! If you can accept another tester, I've sent you a email! RB Editor is just not doing it for me anymore, and the only apple I have, I'm eating now!
i'm in the middle of creating a roadbook and reported already several issues. Most important "Km" vs "Miles" or even "Meter" option for non US regions would be great for global use. But the project is great and love how it works. Also did reating roadbooks in MS-Word, later in MS-Visio (with VBA code on the backend) still wasn't satisfied turned occasionally to TT Roadbook Editor. But now with RallyNavigator finally a piece of work that can stand my heat...
I wouldn't mind testing it you need another. I am not 100% sure my home computer will run it but worth a shot. Email sent.
Running it on my non home PC right now which is an HP Z400 workstation with 4 processors and 4 gigs of ram running windows XP and it is a 64 bit system. Running GE 6.2 and Google Chrome browser and so far my 700 point GPX file loaded nicely into the application and I am off and editing without issue.
Beta Team: Recent upgrades to Rally Navigator: Improved GPX import - GPX files created from Tracks and Routes Improved Saving function - Status bar confirms "Project Saved" Progress reporting for import - Displays points as they are imported Support for Kilometers/Miles (much requested!) Ability to show/hide GPS Coordinates in Roadbook Lots of other improvements in the works in the next couple of weeks. We are ready to add more Beta Testers - any other folks interested? Please email me.
working on a few routes now.. I like it so far.. I look forward to the upgrades so I can download back to my gps, hide map etc.. I see someone has made a copy of my western loop route.. but I can't edit or save others.. ? How can that be? or are you guys just checking things out? great start and it's good enough to where I can't get enough and wasting plenty of my time playing with the program
Inmates: Currently, users aren't able to copy others routes (Kenaroos route was copied by an administrator for development testing) Currently ALL routes are held in the public library. We will be developing the route library and sharing system in early February. Routes will stay in a private folder while they are under construction. A route creator will then be able to share the route via email invite to specific riders. OR the route could be marked public and viewed in a searchable route library. (search by: zip code, map, creator, rating) We are considering allowing users to copy routes from the public library with the goal of modifying, adding different portions to the beginning or end, splicing routes together etc. The original route contributor would get credit and the person who made the new modified route would get credit. This function is WAY down the road, but could be pretty cool. Any interest in this idea?
Would the original route be preserved? As in, would the original user still be able to use the route the way that they created it? I'd think that would be a must.
That's what I thought.. think the coping of others is good as long as they have to rename the file so there is no confusion. having some glitches.. think it's on my side.. spent a few hours tweaking routes last night.. marked 90 miles of turns and dangerous water crossings in my TEXMEX route. woke up and went to proceed with the editing and found that none of my multiple saves took and I'm back to almost square one. Will we be able to save our road books to our computers in the future as back up?
